General Description
A flavorful combination of rice, orzo and herbs and spices gives Foothill Farms® Rice Pilaf superb visual appeal and made-from-scratch taste. Simply add the rice to water and butter or margarine and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. It is the perfect accompaniment to beef, chicken, pork or seafood.
Ingredients
Enriched Long Grain Parboiled Rice (Iron Phosphate, Niacin, Thiamin Mononitrate, Folic Acid), Enriched Orzo [Semolina Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron (Ferrous Sulfate), Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid], Seasoning Blend [Salt, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (Wheat Gluten, Soy Protein, Corn Gluten), Maltodextrin, Soybean Oil*, Disodium Inosinate & Disodium Guanylate, Turmeric (Color), Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Natural & Artificial Flavor, Chicken Fat*].
*Adds a trivial amount of fat.
Directions For Use
Combine 10 cups (80 fl oz) water and ½ cup (4 oz.) margarine or butter in stockpot. Bring to a boil. Stir in contents of rice/orzo bag and seasoning pouch. Return to a boil. Cover tightly and reduce heat to low. Simmer (gentle boil) for 25-30 minutes covered, or until most of the liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Fluff rice with a fork. Serve.
