Broccoli & Cheddar Rice

Combine leftover rice and broccoli with creamy cheese sauce for a delicious dish. Offer this unique side that can also be an entrée when topped with grilled chicken.

Broccoli & Cheddar Rice

1  gal Hot water (180º-190°F)
1  bag Foothill Farms® Special Blend Cheese Sauce Instant Mix (#7272)
6  lb Broccoli florets, steamed and drained
12  c Cooked rice
  1. Pour hot water into a large mixing bowl. Pour contents cheese sauce mix into water while vigorously stirring with wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is completely dissolved and cheese sauce is smooth. Let stand 3 minutes then stir again.

  2. Add broccoli and rice to cheese sauce. Stir gently until well combined.

  3. Pour mixture in 2" deep full size steam pan. Place in 350°F convection oven 15 - 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
