Chipotle-Cheddar Cheese Sauce

A rich and gooey, spicy and melty cheese sauce that can be used as a dip for bread or onion rings, over burgers and hot sandwiches. Try mixing with pasta for a unique mac n cheese.

Recipe Yield: 40 1/4-cup servings
Chipotle-Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Amount Item
1/2  gal Hot water (180°-190°F)
  (Add 1 cup less water for thicker sauce)
1  bag Foothill Farms® Cheese Sauce Mix (#088T)
1/4  c Chipotle chile, canned, pureed
  1. In a mixing container pour in hot water. Add contents of Sauce Mix into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is dissolved and sauce is smooth.

  2. Add chipotle puree to cheese sauce. Whisk to combine.

  3. Note: Can also use Foothill Farms Cheese Sauce #088T and #105T. Simply double the amount of water and pureed chipotle used.
