An Italian vegetable soup made with pasta using our Traditional Tomato Sauce.
|1 bag||Foothill Farms Traditional Tomato Sauce Mix (#089T)|
|3 qts||Hot water (180°-190°F)|
|1 cup||Diced onion|
|1 cup||Diced celery|
|1 cup||Diced carrots|
|1 cup||Frozen green beans, thawed|
|1 cup||Canned kidney beans, drained|
|1 cup||Canned diced tomatoes, undrained|
|2 cups||Prepared pasta, small size, shell|
Pour water into mixing bowl. Pour Traditional Tomato Sauce Mix (16oz) into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is completely dissolved. Set aside.
In a pot, sauté onions, celery and carrot until they become soft and translucent, about 4-6 minutes.
Add prepared sauce, green beans, kidney beans, tomato and pasta.
Stir and bring to serving temp (145F). Never boil.
