A fresh white sauce take on traditional spaghetti with melty Monterey jack cheese sauce, hearty spinach and crunchy French-fried onions.
|1/2 gal||Hot water (180°-190°F)|
|1 bag||Foothill Farms® Monterey Jack Flavor Cheese Sauce Instant Mix (#106T)|
|2 c||Sour cream|
|1/2 c||Grated Parmesan cheese, divided|
|3 lb||Cooked spaghetti|
|1 lb||Frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained|
|6 oz||French-fried onions, divided|
In a large mixing bowl, pour in hot water. Add contents of Monterey Jack Cheese Sauce Mix (15.5 oz) into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is completely dissolved and cheese sauce is smooth. Let stand for about 3-5 minutes then mix again.
Add sour cream and 1/4 c parmesan cheese to cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
Add pasta, spinach and 3 oz French-fried onions. Stir to combine.
Place mixture into full sized pan. Cover and bake in 350ºF convection oven for 20-30 minutes, until heated through and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Remove from oven, uncover and top with remaining onions and 1/4 c parmesan cheese. Return to oven for 5 minutes until onions are golden brown.
