Sweet Thai Chili Meatball Pita

1 pita provides 2 oz Meat/Meat Alternatives, 2 oz Whole Grain, 1/4 cup of Dark Green Vegetables.

13 3/4  lb Meatballs, beef, fully cooked, 0.55 oz
100  pieces Pita, whole wheat, 6 in.
15 1/2  lb Broccoli Slaw
125  oz Pineapple, canned, drained
5 1/2  lb Broccoli slaw
2  bags Foothill Farms Sweet Thai Chili (V442)
1  gallon 8 oz water
  1. To prepare meatballs: Place in a single layer on a pan and bake in a convection oven at 350°F for 12-15 minutes if frozen and 8-10 minutes if thawed.

  2. To prepare sauce: Pour water into mixing container. Pour contents of package into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is dissolved.

  3. To prepare broccoli pineapple slaw: Mix the broccoli slaw with one #10 can of drained, crushed pineapple.

  4. To assemble pita: Cut pocket bread in half and open up. Place 1/4 cup of broccoli slaw pineapple mixture in each half. Place two meatballs on top of the broccoli slaw. Top with 2 Tbsp. of Sweet Thai Chili Sauce.
