Foothill Farms® Mexican Rice Seasoning Mix
This mild-mannered mariachi band of seasonings sets the mood as the foundation for most Latin-inspired entrées. Its subtle medley of authentic Mexican spices harmonizes with chopped red and green bell peppers and onion. Foothill Farms Mexican Rice Seasoning has a vibrant tomato-red color that enlivens white or brown rice with stunning visual appeal while smoldering chile pepper, savory garlic, and rich cumin give just enough cha-cha-cha to be craved. One case seasons 22.5 lb rice.
Maltodextrin, Dehydrated Vegetables (Onion, Red & Green Bell Pepper, Garlic, Parsley), Salt (includes Sea Salt), Paprika, Yeast Extract, Spice (includes Chile Pepper, Cumin), Sugar, Red Beet Powder, Citric Acid, Paprika Extract, Soybean Oil, Contains 2% or Less Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking).
Directions For Use
Convection Oven Method: In a 4" full-size steam table pan, combine 1 1/3 gal hot water (180°-190°F), 2.5 qts (3.75 lbs) parboiled white or brown rice, contents of Rice Seasoning packet (11 oz) and 4 oz butter (optional). Stir well. Cover with foil or pan lid and bake in a 350°F convection oven for 30-40 minutes or until water is absorbed. Keep warm (160°F). Fluff with fork before serving.
Top of Stove Method: Combine 1 1/3 gal water, 2.5 qts (3.75 lbs) parboiled white or brown rice, contents of Rice Seasoning packet (11 oz) and 4 oz butter (optional) in a stock pot. Stir well. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Stir well. Transfer to serving pan and keep warm (160°F). Fluff with fork before serving.
