Yesterday’s desserts are making a sweet comeback. Bread pudding is a dessert that utilize stale or left over bread and blends well with fruit or special flavorings for unique offerings. Use whole grain bread for added nutrients.
Grease half pan or muffin tin with butter. Set aside.
Pour cold water into mixing bowl. Pour Bread Pudding Mix (20.32 oz) into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whip until smooth.
Add bread to wet mixture and gently stir to combine.
Once bread has absorbed most of the mixture, transfer to prepared baking dish and bake in 375ºF conventional oven for 40-45 minutes.
Remove bread pudding from oven. Product will settle and shrink some upon cooling. To serve warm, cool bread pudding for 10 prior to cutting. Serve with fruit flavored sauces (see our Bourbon Blueberry Sauce recipe) and whipped cream (see our Non-Fat Whip Topping recipe).
