Apple & Cabbage Slaw with Poppy Seed Dressing

A great slaw coupled with a BBQ sandwich.

1  c Cool water
2  c White vinegar
1  c Sugar
1  bag Foothill Farms® Poppy Seed Dressing & Seasoning Mix (#V601)
5  c Oil
12  lb Cabbage slaw blend
12  lb Frozen sliced apples, thawed
2  lb Toasted slivered almonds
  1. For dressing: In a large mixing container, add Poppy Seed Dressing & Seasoning Mix (8 oz) to water, vinegar and sugar. Mix well with wire whisk or electric mixer at low speed. Add oil and continue mixing until thoroughly combined. Cover and refrigerate 3-4 hours so dressing will thicken.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend cabbage, apples, almonds and dressing.

  3. Chili for 30 minutes prior to serving.
