Precision Foods Achieves Food Safety Certification
January 31, 2011

Precision Foods is proud to announce that all three Precision Foods manufacturing facilities were recently audited based on the technical standards issued by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and each achieved the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, Level A, Certification.

The BRC Global Standards, which are used worldwide, specify requirements to be met by an organization to enable the production, packaging, storage and distribution of safe food.

Regarded as the benchmark for best practice in the food industry, the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety was the first standard to be approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), as part of their process for mutual recognition of food safety standards, and continues to be the most widely used.

While Precision Foods has always been passionate about ensuring its practices and procedures guaranteed the highest level of food quality and safety, it is gratifying to know that our internal vigilence has been acknowledged by this highly regarded third party certification process.

Given today’s increasing government regulations and the public’s growing concern over the safety of our food supply, we know our customers rely on us to provide them with products of uncompromising quality and safety. We hope this new certification further demonstrates our commitment to them, and reinforces to you, our brokers, that PFI is manufacturing products you can be confident in representing.
