General Description

While this glazy amber sauce laced with vibrant red and green bell peppers may look unassuming, one taste proves otherwise. Unlike the many other sweet and sour sauce options, Foothill Farms® Sweet & Sour Sauce dismisses a boring flavor balance. Instead, it punctuates its taste with a puckering pineapple punch.

Ingredients

Water*, Sugar, Modified Food Starch, Brown Sugar, Sodium Diacetate, Citric Acid, Soybean Oil, Salt, Natural Flavors (Includes Pineapple), Dehydrated Red & Green Bell Pepper, Tomato Powder, Dehydrated Onion & Garlic, Annatto Extract (Color), Spice, Caramel Color, Contains 2% Or Less Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking).

*This ingredient statement was written with water added according to the recommended preparation instructions. Product is sold without water.

Directions For Use

Pour 1/2 gal (64 fl. oz.) hot water (180°-190°F) into mixing container. Pour contents of package (15.85 oz.) into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is dissolved and sauce is smooth. Ready to use.

For Sweet & Sour Chicken, heat 10 lbs diced chicken according to manufacturer’s directions. Tip: For maximum flavor and to ensure sauce clings well, drain excess moisture from chicken after heated. Transfer chicken to serving pan and pour prepared sauce over chicken. Toss to evenly coat. Maintain at 165°F.

Mantenga a 165 °F.
