|1 gallon||Hot Water|
|12 oz.||Diced Onion|
|12 oz.||Diced Celery|
|6 oz.||Diced Red Pepper|
|16 oz.||Frozen Sliced Okra|
|12 oz.||Diced Cooked Chicken Meat|
|6 oz.||Cooked Shrimp|
Using a large soup pot, pour TUF Gumbo Mix into hot water while stirring with a wire whip. Continue to stir until mix is completely dissolved and gumbo base is smooth. Set aside.
In a seperate pot, saute onions and celery in a small amount of oil until translucent and tender.
Add peppers and okra to vegetable mixture and bring back up to temperature.
Add cooked diced chicken and shrimp to the vegetable mixture and bring back up to temperature.
Add cooked vegetables/meat to gumbo base and bring to a slow simmer. Cook for 10 minutes.
Serve immediately with white or dirty rice, or chill and refrigerate for later use.
